This isn’t a shed and it isn’t quite a gazebo. It’s a screened, glazed room you assemble on the patio: a hard roof, four walls of insect screen, window panels you clip in for winter and take out for July, and a door that locks. Domi Outdoor Living calls it a solarium; most people who buy one call it the extra room.

Around the walls: fixed Textilene insect screens, removable PVC window panels over them, and a lockable sliding door. Roof hooks are built in for lights or a ceiling fan.

What fits inside 16.5 by 13: the sofa set and dining table Domi Outdoor Living shows together, with walking room. An eight-seat table alone leaves half the floor free. A desk and a daybed, if it’s the home-office use they suggest, is barely a quarter of it.
