Privacy Policy

Last Updated: August 2026

Sosiom LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”) runs sosiom.com. This page is the plain account of what we know about you, how that information reached us, what we do with it, who else ever sees it, and how you get it changed or erased.

Section 01

What you hand us directly

Ordering means typing some things into a form. Those things are:

  • Your name, along with the address you’re billed at and the address you want the order delivered to
  • An email address and a phone number that let us and the carrier reach you
  • Payment details, which go straight to the processor; full card numbers never land on our systems
  • The history of what you’ve bought from us and any messages you’ve exchanged with our support team
  • Login credentials, if you decide to open an account rather than check out as a guest

Section 02

What the site records on its own

Visiting a page leaves a trace whether or not you buy anything. That trace includes the browser you’re using and the IP address it connects from, which pages you opened and how long you stayed, the device plus the operating system behind it, the link or search phrase that brought you here, and whatever the cookies described further down store.

Section 03

Why we hold any of it

Every use has a reason attached to it:

  • Getting your order picked, packed, delivered
  • Sending confirmations, shipping notices, tracking updates
  • Answering questions and handling support requests
  • Working through returns, refunds, warranty claims
  • Spotting fraud and keeping the site secure
  • Improving the site, the catalog, the service
  • Marketing email, but only when you’ve opted in, with an unsubscribe link on every message
  • Meeting the legal duties any U.S. retailer has

Section 04

Giving us your details to place an order, arrange a delivery or start a return is how you consent to the uses above.

Changed your mind? Email Contact@sosiom.com or call +1 (928) 449-5433 and say so. Be aware that pulling consent limits what we can still do for you: an order in flight needs an address to arrive at.

Section 05

Who else sees your information

Your personal information is not for sale. We don’t rent it out and we don’t trade it. It leaves our hands in five situations only:

Companies that help complete your order. Our payment providers, the carriers who move your goods by parcel or freight, and the service that sends our order emails. Each gets only what that job needs.

A legal requirement. A court order, a binding request from a government authority, or an obligation written into law.

A change of ownership. Should Sosiom LLC ever be sold, merged or otherwise handed on, customer records would move with the business to whoever takes it over.

Fraud and security work. Investigating a suspicious transaction, or defending our own legal position.

The chat assistant. What you type into the chat window goes to Anthropic so a reply can be written, and a copy of the finished exchange lands with our staff over Telegram. Talking to the chat assistant, further down this page, covers both in detail.

Section 06

Card details, specifically

Payments run through Stripe and PayPal. Both are PCI-DSS compliant and keep the sensitive part of the transaction on their own infrastructure, so your full card number is never stored on our servers. Traffic between your browser and the processor is encrypted.

At checkout you can pay with PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or a card: Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover.

Section 07

Cookies and tracking

Four kinds of cookie may be set while you browse:

  • Essential: the cart and your login can’t function without them
  • Analytics: aggregate numbers on how the site gets used, via Google Analytics
  • Advertising: Google Ads, the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and AdRoll, used to reach past visitors
  • Preference: small settings you’ve chosen, remembered for next time

Your browser controls all of this: block or clear them whenever you like. Some parts of the site work less smoothly afterward, the cart in particular.

Section 08

Outside services we rely on

Each of these operates under its own privacy policy, which is worth a read:

  • Google Analytics for traffic and usage measurement
  • Google Ads, Meta (Facebook) Pixel and AdRoll for advertising plus retargeting
  • Stripe and PayPal, for taking payment
  • WordPress with WooCommerce, which is the store itself
  • Anthropic, whose language model writes the replies in our chat assistant
  • Telegram, which carries the assistant’s internal alerts through to our own staff

Section 09

How long we keep things

Order and account records stay with us while they’re needed: to show what you bought, to satisfy the tax and bookkeeping rules that generally reach back seven years, and to settle any dispute or enforce an agreement.

Chat transcripts run on a shorter clock. Ninety days after a conversation, the record of it is deleted, and that includes the copy our staff received through Telegram.

Want your data deleted? Write to Contact@sosiom.com. We act on the request inside 30 days, apart from anything a law obliges us to retain.

Section 10

Your rights over your data

Depending on your state, some or all of these are yours to exercise:

  • See a copy of what we hold about you
  • Correct anything wrong or incomplete
  • Have your personal information erased
  • Leave the marketing list, using the unsubscribe link in any email we send
  • Receive your data in a portable, commonly readable format

One email to Contact@sosiom.com starts any of them.

Section 11

Children

This is a store for adults buying backyard structures. It isn’t aimed at anyone under 13, and we don’t knowingly gather information from that age group. Tell us if you think a child has sent us something, and it gets deleted.

Section 12

How we guard what we hold

SSL covers the whole site. Stored data is encrypted, payment handling is PCI-DSS compliant, and we watch for security problems rather than waiting to be told about one.

Total security doesn’t exist on the internet, and any company claiming otherwise is overselling. What we can say is that the safeguards here are the ones a careful retailer uses.

Section 13

Talking to the chat assistant

A chat window sits in the corner of the site. Its label reads Live Chat. An automated assistant answers you first, and its opening message says so; one of our staff can also step into the same window and reply in person. Replies are written by a language model that Anthropic, a U.S. company, operates for us. What you type in the window travels to Anthropic along with the earlier turns of that same conversation, and the model’s answer travels back. The assistant works from this site’s published content. It has no access to your cart, your account or your order history, and it can’t place an order or take a payment.

A conversation is labeled with a random session id, nothing else. Your name isn’t attached to it, your IP address isn’t either, and we make no attempt to work out who was typing. Keep card numbers and passwords out of the chat; nothing the assistant does needs either one.

Every exchange is also copied to our staff over Telegram, under that same random id, so a person can pick up where the assistant fell short and answer you in the chat window itself. Ninety days after a conversation ends we delete the record of it. That covers the copy in Telegram and the per-session thread we keep on our own server so a staff reply can reach the window. Anthropic and Telegram each operate under a privacy policy of their own, listed with the other outside services above.

Section 14

Follow a link to somebody else’s website and this policy stops applying. We don’t control what those operators collect or how they behave with it, so check their policy before handing anything over.

Section 15

Revisions to this page

Practices change. Laws change. This page changes with them. Updates show up with a fresh date at the top. Using the site after that date means the revised version applies to you.
