Backyard Discovery Beaumont 24 x 12 ft. Cedar Wood Pergola with PowerPort
$3,500.00
Description
Twenty-four feet is long enough that you stop thinking about where the furniture goes and start thinking about zones. Dining at one end, a fire table at the other, and the middle post falling between them instead of in anybody’s way. This is the largest cedar Beaumont, and it is a different purchase from the square ones: you buy it to roof a whole run of patio, not a seating group.
Assembled it stands 288.11 in wide, 144.13 in deep and 95.11 in tall. Call it 24 ft by 12 ft, or 7.32 m by 3.66 m, giving 288 sq ft of cover, about 26.8 sq m. The top beam sits 7 ft 11 in off the ground and you walk under it at 7 ft 1 in. Six posts, 6 in by 6 in, set 10 ft 3 in apart along each side. The whole frame is cedar and arrives already stained at the factory, with dual cross beams over each post pair, galvanized steel fasteners, and steel plates at every base for anchoring. Anchored the way the manual specifies, Backyard Discovery rates the structure to 100 mph. The roof is open trellis, so what falls through is striped light rather than shade, and rain comes through it too.
Power is built into a post. Three 120V sockets and three USB charging points, which is what lets you run a string of lights and a fan off the structure without an extension lead crossing the paving.
Underneath, 288 sq ft is a ten-seat table with room to push the chairs back, plus a separate lounge group. Two loungers and a side table barely register in it.
Every piece is cut and drilled before it reaches you, and the instructions are the BILT 3D app rather than paper. Backyard Discovery does not publish a tool list, a crew size or a build time for this model, and we are not going to invent one. What we will say is that the beams for a 24 ft run are long and awkward rather than heavy, so plan on more than one pair of hands and more than one afternoon.
It travels as freight because nothing this size fits the parcel network. The kit weighs 762.8 lb split across four cartons at 200.62, 194.01, 189.6 and 178.57 lb. It ships from our own stock in Camp Verde, Arizona, picked and packed by us, leaving inside 1 business day and normally running 3–7 business days in transit. Shipping costs you nothing. The freight company rings first to agree a time, and you do need to be there. Before you sign anything, count the four cartons against the paperwork and photograph anything that looks crushed, because that photograph is what settles a damage claim later. Keep the cartons and the internal packing until the last bolt is tightened, because sending anything back within the 90-day window depends on having them.
Backyard Discovery’s warranty, in their words: 5-Year Limited Warranty.
Four figures the maker leaves off this model, so you will not find them stated above: any snow load rating, the tool list, how many people it takes and how long it runs.
Things the box does not contain: furniture, the string lights, plants, anchors matched to your particular slab, and the supply cable that feeds the PowerPort.
